She studied for 3 years at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York and 4 years with Prof. Shulan Tang at Shizhen College in Manchester. She helped to establish the first MSc course in acupuncture in the UK, and is a very well respected practitioner who is known to get good results. Acupuncture

Acupuncture is used as a method of pain relief in mainstream hospitals all over the world. An ancient system of medicine that has been around for more than 3,000 years, acupuncture has been continually used up until the present day, and is considered to be one of the most effective forms of traditional medicine across the globe.

Acupuncture involves placing tiny needles in strategic points around the body to stimulate the flow of energy, harmony and balance.

Acupuncture as a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Chinese medicine is all about balance and harmony in the body. We can get out of balance when we get stressed or traumatised for internal or external reasons. Chinese medicine offers very intricate diagnostic techniques to ascertain where the imbalances are and then how to correct them using natural methods.

Diagnosis is made by looking, asking, touching and listening. Much of the information comes from a tongue examination and by taking the pulse – there are 29 pulse readings from 3 different places on the wrist.
