Hello, my name is Tricia I am a middle aged Yorkshire lass! , but lived in Worksop most of my life. I have worked in the caring profession since I was 17 and gathered many skills.

I was introduced to Acupuncture in 2005 after suffering from planter fasciitis (policeman’s foot) I was hooked. This interest took me to the University of Lincoln where I was privilege to be mentored by eminent Doctors in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Biomedicine. Having received my Batchelor of Science (Hon) Degree in Acupuncture, it was time to share, which leads me onto my aim.

The Aim: With the support of family and friends I am able to share this modality of health care and contribute NOT, as an alternative to biomedicine, but as a complementary health treatment that supports the whole person.

Treatment At Root Acupuncture

First consultation approximate duration 1.5 hours. Following treatments will be approximately 1 hour duration. Each treatment is totally individual and based around you.

Clothing: Loose clothing is best. Often very little undressing is necessary, however, if this is the case then privacy is given to undress / dress with a screen and towels are available.

Questions / pulse / tongue and palpating evaluation form a large part of Traditional Chinese Medical Acupuncture and the treatment plan is discerned from these observations and more.
