Mark Kiely Lic Ac, MBAcC, BSc (Hons) has been practising acupuncture in London since 2007. He is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council and is fully-insured.
Acupuncture is a branch of traditional Chinese medicine. This complementary therapy is based upon a healthcare system that has been practised all across East Asia for thousands of years. During an acupuncture treatment, very fine needles are inserted into specific areas of the body. These needles are packaged in individual sterile packaging, used only once, and then discarded safely. Normally, insertion of the needles involves no pain due to the fineness of the needle.
As well as being an effective treatment for specific conditions, acupuncture therapy can enhance general well-being. Patients who have come for treatment for unrelated issues, often report improved sleep, digestion, and energy levels.
