He graduated in 1982 with a degree in Acupuncture from The International College of Oriental Medicine,UK. This was followed by Post Graduate studies in London with the Journal of Chinese Medicine. I first became interested in Acupuncture in 1967 when a friend of the family, who was one of the pioneers of Acupuncture in this country, came to visit. His name was Robert Butterworth and he becamemy mentor. It was he who encouraged me to train as an Acupuncturist when a suitable course was developed in the mid-1970s. I am registered with the British Acupuncture Council and have worked in professional practice as an acupuncturist for more than 30 years.
