Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been with us for over 5,000 years and its aims to maintain the bodies equilibrium by focusing on all aspects of wellbeing:- physical, mental and emotional.

Hilary qualified as a Traditional Acupuncturist in 2004 and offers acutuncture treatment in Llanberis, Gwynedd, North Wales. Acupuncture is the insertion of ultra fine needles in to specifically chosen parts of the body, to stimulate the bodies own healing response and restore it's natural balance. Traditional acupuncture It aims to treat the root of your condition as well as your symptoms. Acupuncture is often used in conjunction with western medicine.

How can acupuncture help you?

With acupuncture I treat you as a whole person, not just symptoms you are experiencing. Patients come with a diverse range of conditions such as, migraine, arthritis, headache, sciatica, frozen shoulder, muscular/ skeletal problems, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression etc. As well as the symptoms lessening after an initial treatment, patients often express that they "just feel better in themselves".

I also work with cancer patients, supporting them through chemo and radiotherapy and as palliative care.
Please take a look at the fact sheets on the British Acupuncture Councils Website to see research into what conditions acupuncture can help.
