Bruce McCallum

I have been treating in London since 2005 as a member of the British Acupuncture Council. Working as an acupuncturist means I am constantly in awe of the body's natural capacity to heal itself. Watching the treatment stimulate this healing into action is something I value highly. I find it inspiring to see someone who has been out of balance become more and more realigned, relieved of long term symptoms, conceiving the baby they have been longing for, or simply living life with happiness. We need to work harder to stay in touch with our natural rhythms nowadays. Everything is working against them: we don't realise the effect of stress on our lives as we rush to work, spend long periods on computers, constantly communicate on mobile phones. The pace of life just increases, so the body tells us when this gets too much, which is why so many people are stressed and suffering from depression, exhaustion, infertility, back pain.
